Introduction
Researchers and the medical community know that no outbreak eradication plan is complete without proper sanitization, disinfection or sterilization of the affected venues. What has been lacking are the trained and certified technicians to do it properly!

Course Description
This two-day program starts with the basics of disease transmission and takes you through the methods of disabling bacteria and viruses in various venues. New disinfectants and devices are prominently used in this course and the student will learn the latest methods and chemistry for disinfecting Avian Flu H5N1, SARS, NoroVirus, Tuberculosis, and other diseases on ships, planes, businesses, schools, daycare centers, and other sites outside of the healthcare arena. Training in the appropriate personal protective equipment and respiratory protection will be included. This course includes classroom as well as hands-on use of all equipment, and antimicrobials. A certificate and wallet card is awarded to graduates, and Continuing Education Units (or CEU's) from affiliate organizations may apply.
